Ubiquity Click

May 19 2009, 9:01PM

Ubiquity seems like a great project. However, in my case, I've tried it twice and just haven't managed to fold it into my workflow. I'm not entirely sure why that is - but part of it has to do with my aversion to using the mouse more than necessary. I've also been using vimperator which lets me fly through pages without the hunting and pecking.

So, during my second Ubiquity effort, I wanted to make it a bit more vimperator-like. I wanted a command to help me find and activate links on a page without the mouse. I put click.js together quickly, and am offering it here as a prototype. I'll be switching back to vimperator again, and have a few big projects coming up, so I don't expect to work on click.js again in the near future.

Click.js searches the links on the page, and displays those that match the text you've entered. Press return to follow the link. If you find it useful, or develop the script further - please let me know in the comments below!
